Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines
Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines was formed in 1934 by a consolidation of the PRR's and the Reading's passenger lines in South Jersey between Philadelphia and the Jersey Shore. During the diesel era, PRSL mostly operated Baldwin locomotives, but in the late 1960's, the PRSL purchased ten GP38s, numbered in the 2000-series.
The following three photos were taken at Camden, New Jersey, on November 27, 1969, by David Nyce. Photos contributed by Gary Stuebben.
Winslow Tower at Winslow Junction, NJ. This was where the PRSL line from Camden to Cape May met the line from Philadelphia to Atlantic City, and both lines also crossed over the Jersey Central's Southern Division. Today the tower is closed, and the tracks in front of the tower are NJ Transit's Atlantic City Line. Photo by Charlie Almond. (37 K)
