PC: Shades of Agnes

Here in the Northeast, we've had some major flooding. All of the
news reports are comparing these storms to Tropical Storm Agnes of 1972.
This is the storm the pretty much destroyed the Penn Central. Wiped out
huge sections of main line.
Today, some news reports showed railroad lines washed away. Reminds
me of the photos of E44s out by Enola sitting in water up to the
catwalks.
Some agree and some may not, but Agnes is probably "the straw that
broke the camel's back" when it come to the Penn Central (and Erie
Lackawanna, Reading, CNJ, and Lehigh Valley).
