I think the
Mopac used a similar shade of green on some of their MOW stuff in the 80s, but
I don’t think they were necessarily second hand from the PC. I did
always wonder if they bought excess paint from the PC though, because it is
very close in color.

I wouldn't say no chance, but no inclination. If it's a workie,
the priority to get it into perfect spec markings is pretty low, just below
installing cappucino machines in switcher cabs... When I was a kid, there were

on a Metra train, I noticed that a Missouri Pacific flat car was being used on
a Union Pacific MOW train. I did not have a chance to catch the road number
unfortunately. However, I did noticed first that UP had no chance to re letter
the car...and second that the car was completely in Penn Central freight green!
Did PC ever sell any flat cars to M! o Pac? Thank you in advance!
