PC: Re: Penn Central Digest V4 #69



In my years as a tower operator these special loads were referred as either "high and wide(s)" or  "baobab" on the Philadelphia Division. The term "baobab" refers to a very tall and wide African tree trunk....we were never informed letter classes I, L,etc....(the train dispatchers probably weren't familiar with the letter classes either........................Greg D
