I see other people have the book I have. Glad that is cleared up. So the
bottom line is that there is no Vol 1?
On the topic age and the PC, I am 20 and grew up around Los Angeles all my
life. I went to a private elementary school that had the UP and SP main
lines right outside the classroom windows. Needless to say I didn't get
too much school work done. In the mid-80's the SP still ran SD-9s &
7s along with GP-9s on almost every train. I miss hearing the chugg of
7 or 8 SD-9s pulling a train up the hill. Plus my Dad worked for the UP
and would lay on the horn when he went by school, teachers loved that.
I don't remeber why I started to like the PC so much, it happened when I
was 10 or 11 years old. But I stay with it to this day because of the
variety you have as far as motive power goes. You can model almost every
1st or 2nd generation desiel in PC and run them in the same consist and
have it be accurate. Plus the paint job is a peice of cake.
These new SD80MAC everyone is getting are nice but... nothing beats
hearing those old EMD's.
I also remeber when I was 3 or 4 that Sesame Street use to have clips of
PC trains during the show. Anyone else seen these? I remeber 1 with some
F-units crossing a bridge.
That's it,
evan
