     For more photos and discussion of these cars check out PRR Color
Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment Vol. 1 & 2.  According to
these books, these cars were converted from automobile box cars in the
late 1950's after truckers took most of the new auto shipping business. 
The PRR made quite a few of these cars but the biz was almost dead
and gone by the time PC began so few if any were painted in PC.  In one
of the PRR books there is a picture of several of these cars rounding
horseshoe curve very early in PC.  Also of note is the new lime green
Food Town 86' stock car with the PRR cars.
