The biggest problem with the Atlas paint scheme is the height of the
words Penn Central. The lettering is a little too tall. Also the
rounded corners of the logos are not quite round enough. I'm being picky.
Overall it is a nice looking model as is and runs fantastic! I purchased
three and use them to haul 65 car freights with ease! I left the numbers
and front/rear logos as is. I painted out the side logos and lettering
(that was painful...reminded me of early Conrail) and relettered with
microscale decals. Looks fine!
I recommend the purchase.

The old PC painted TYCO models are fetching a good price at some swap
meets. There is a gentleman here in Louisville KY who has a mint PC TYCO
passenger set. I believe the reason they are increasing in value is due to
the fact the cars in his particular set are aluminum, but painted in the
incorrect PC paint. What is wrong with the Atlas U33's paint scheme? I am
about to purchase 2 of them for a very good price, but I don't want to have
to do a major reletter job if they are way off. Thanks.
